Przygotowałem listę najważniejszych wg mnie prac dot. nieptasich dinozaurów z lat 2006-2013 (miało być 5 lat, dałem jednak po jednej z 2006 i 2007 r.). Proponuję, by w tym wątku cytować i linkować ważne prace - dobre przeglądówki, dobre filogenezy i kluczowe nowe odkrycia. (...) taka lista za ostatnie 5 lat obejmowałaby w przybliżeniu jakieś 20 prac, głównie analizy filogenetyczne dużych kladów, ale nie tylko takie publikacje... (...) to by mogło być przydatne, np. dla studentów zainteresowanych ewolucjonizmem, zoologią czy paleontologią, ale niekoniecznie chcących się zagłębiać w rozliczne forumowe wątki czy jeszcze liczniejsze prace naukowe. Wybór publikacji jest zupełnie subiektywny (arbitralny): podałem to, co sam uważam za interesujące i istotne - i co może być, jak przypuszczam, takie dla innych. Dlatego nie ma "analiz filogenetycznych dużych kladów" ani np. o wymieraniu, białkach czy biomechanice. Może ktoś uzupełni o te i inne zagadnienia.
Trzeba pamiętać, że dane z tych prac to tylko element szerszej całości i żeby dobrze rozeznać się w jakieś temacie, trzeba sięgnąć do dziesiątek kolejnych prac. Prace tracą też na aktualności, zwłaszcza te podsumowujące i obszerniejsze. Interpretacje są nieraz kontrowersyjne, w przypadku większych kontrowersji dodałem komentarz. Oczwiście ciężko jest wybrać jedną czy dwie publikacje o jakimś zagadnieniu, ale też w drugą stronę - nie wszystkie dane, zwłaszcza z obszerniejszych prac ("Ogólne prace o dinozaurach") są szczególnie istotne, aktualne, ogólnie przyjęte (zwłaszcza Paul, 2010); te drugie czytałem tylko częściowo. Jest oczywiście więcej prac tego typu, ale ich nie znam, więc nie podaję (np. Holtz, 2008; Glut, 1997 i n.).
